Rising Star: Inez Wanamarta's Journey to Professional Golf

Golf is a sport that I've always been drawn to for its combination of skill, strategy, and endurance. And for me, it's more than just a sport - it's a dream come true. I am Inez Wanamarta, a young golfer from Indonesia, and I am now starting my professional golf career after 4 successful years playing college golf at Purdue University and as a member of the Indonesian National Golf Team.

Throughout my Amateur career, there were many people who told me that my injury would make the journey too difficult and that my goal was unattainable. But I refused to let their negativity hold me back. Instead, I used their words as motivation and worked even harder to prove them wrong. And today, I am proud to say that I have achieved my dream and am now a professional golfer.

My accomplishments speak for themselves. I've won several prestigious tournaments and have been recognized as one of the top golfers in the world. Some of my notable achievements include winning the Women's Southern Amateur in 2022, being a three-time All-Big Ten honoree, and being named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2018. I am also proud to say that I am the only Indonesian professional featured in the Epson Tour Priority List 2023 and the only Indonesian professional competing in the Women's All-Pro Tour 2023.

• Indonesia National Games Champion 2016

Becoming a professional golfer has been a journey filled with challenges, but through hard work, determination, and a love for the sport, I have overcome all obstacles and achieved my dream. I am ready to take on new challenges and continue to make my mark on the world of golf.
